Traceability:
Drill collar material and process traceability are maintained from receipt of the mill's certified raw material to completion of manufacturing. Serial numbers are die stamped on bar bodies.
Rigid Inspection Procedures:
We inspect all our drill collars to ensure compliance with API SPEC 7-1 standards. These inspections include visual dimensional checks as well as ultrasonic inspections over the entire body of the drill collar.
Cold Rolling:
Drill collar thread roots, as well as elevator recess upper radius, are cold-rolled. Cold rolling creates a compressive recess upper radius stress condition that increases fatigue life by minimizing crack initiation.
Phosphate-coated or Copper Plating:
All connections are phosphate-coated or copper plated to improve resistance to corrosion.
Slip Groove, Elevator Groove and Size:
Lake offers optional slip and elevator recesses to improve handling efficiency and safety. Unless otherwise specified, slip and elevator recesses are machined in compliance with API spec 7-1 guidelines.
Thread Protectors:
Our company offers steel, cast steel and plastic steel thread protectors for its drill stem products.

The Universal Bottom Hole Orientation (UBHO) Sub is used in a directional drilling BHA, and it is manufactured from high quality AISI 4145-modified fully heat-treated alloy steel or non-magnetic material like P530, P550 to provide a non-magnetic environment for drill string. The UBHO sub is often referred to as a mule shoe sub. This tool is typically run directly below a drill collar and contains a landing sleeve for directional survey equipment. The UBHO is designed and used to establish the â??high side of the toolâ??, which is essential for knowing the tools orientation in the wellbore. UBHO also stands for: Universal Bent Sub Orientation; Universal Bottom Hole Orientation; Universal Bore Hole Orientation; Various OD sizes are available to meet specific directional drilling applications.
LT overshot is one of the fishing tools which is fishing the pipes externally. It can catch drill collar, drill pipe, tubing, subs and other pipes. Because of the seals, the fluid can circulate with the high pump pressure after catching the fish. The top of the fish will be milled by under mill shoe. The releasing and circulating overshot can also work with jars to catch the stuck fishes. If the catched fish canâ??t be release from stucking ,we could release the overshot and lifting the drill string. Overshot consists of three outside parts: top sub, bowl, and standard guide. The basic overshot may be dressed with either of two sets of internal parts, if the fish diameter is near the maximum catch of the overshot, a spiral grapple, spiral grapple control, and type â??Aâ?? packer are used. If the fish diameter is considerably below maximum catch size (�½â?? or more) a basket grapple and a mill control packer are used.

Thus, motor total flow rate is equal to the sum of the flow rate through seal cavity and rotor. 4) Even Wall Motor Even wall motor not only enhances the impact resistance and deformation resistance of the rubber on the inner surface of the stator housing, but also the rubber will not cause problems such as rubber aging and rubber drop during the vulcanization process, so that the rubber vulcanization effect can be achieved better to ensure the service life of drilling motor. Under the same pressure drop, the size of the motor can be shortened and mud motor kick off rate can be further improved. 5) Rotor Coating Technology Regular chrome coating could be adopted as clients requirement. Also we can do Tungsten carbide coating on rotor surface which can enable the rotor to work normally in saturated saltwater mud and to prevent the corrosion of chrome plated rotor in saturated saltwater.
