It has found that Thiabendazole is capable of suppressing the helminth-specific mitochondrial enzyme fumarate reductase, further inhibiting the citric acid cycle, mitochondrial respiration and ATP production, leading to helminth's death. It may also inhibit the microtubule polymerization processes.
