Cable Glands are made in standard Brass (BS 2874) or in alternative materials like Aluminium (BS 1474) and Stainless Steel (A2/A4). Finishes : Cable Glands are generally supplied in natural Brass finish. Other finishes like Electro-Tin, Nickel and Cadmium can be provided. Entry Threads: Cable Glands are normally supplied with ISO Metric threads to BS 3643 part 2 ISO 68 / 965 series. A constant pitch of 1.5 mm is used up to and including 75 mm thread size. Alternative entry threads like PG / NPT / ET etc. are also available. Earthing / Grounding : Electrical continuity is normally achieved through the screwed entry into metal boxes.
