Aluminium roofing sheets are extremely light and have a high strength-to-weight ratio.
Aluminium is an increasingly popular choice for use in installations and buildings. It is corrosion-resistant in almost any kind of environment. Even in highly corrosive industrial environments, it is resistant to fumes and vapours of organic compounds and to chemicals like ammonia, carbon dioxide and acids such as hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and sulphuric acid. Such corrosion resistance gives the metal a long life and keeps it looking good throughout its life.
The shine and brightness of aluminium livens its surroundings, and, because it doesn't stain, discolour or rot, it keeps its brightness and shine for a long time. Aluminium corrugated sheets can take a variety of finishes, colours and textures, which protect them and further enhance their appearance.
An aluminium structure can be easily dismantled, transported and re-assembled in a new location.
Though the metal is a good conductor of heat, its high reflectivity for radiant heat and light (75 to 80 per cent when new, 60 per cent after several years) keeps the interiors of aluminium building from five to eight degrees celsius cooler in summer, while its low emission rate cuts heat loss in winter.

Young's Modulus
Young's Modulus or modulus of elasticity for aluminium is 7.0x104 mpa.

Everlast is available in mill and stucco finish. Colour-coated sheets can be provided on request.

Workability
Everlast can be bent to the required shape. It is subject to the bend radii of the alloy.

Hindalco's closure stock is rolled to very fine tolerances to yield more closure per tonne of stock and to allow uninterrupted operation of high-speed, multiple-cavity presses. Its strength, high formability, low earring and printable surfaces make it ideal for pilfer-proof caps and vial seals.

Packing

Sheet: Sheets are placed in wooden boxes on wooden skids with runners along the length of the sheet. They are wrapped in HDPE with a hardboard on top and bottom of the stack. Hoop iron strapping runs along the length of the sheets. Silica gel packets are put in the boxes for moisture protection.

Alternatively, they are wrapped in a poly-laminated gunny or polythene, strapped with a hoop iron strap and clip and placed on a wooden pallet. Edge guards are used and the sheets are wrapped with protective thermocol sheets.

Coil: Coil is placed on wooden pallets in either eye-to-sky or eye-to-wall condition, wrapped in HDPE fabric and hardboard, and strapped with hoop iron. Silica gel packets are used for moisture protection.

Packing

Hindalco's flat fin stock is packed on wooden skids in either eye-to-sky or eye-to-wall condition, wrapped in HDPE fabric and hardboard and strapped with hoop iron. Moisture protection is ensured with silica gel packets and as the final step, the entire packed product is placed in a wooden cage.

Hindalco's lamp cap stock combines strength and high formability with high resistance to softening in vitriting. Manufactured at modern and well-equipped mills, it can be rolled to very fine tolerances, allowing more caps per tonne of coil and enabling uninterrupted operations of high-speed forming presses.

Packing

Cold rolled sheets are wrapped in HDPE and placed on wooden pallets which have runners along and across the length of the sheet. An angle board is attached to the edges for edge protection, plyboard is placed on the top and bottom of the stack and the package is strapped with hoop iron straps. Silica gel packets are used for moisture protection.

Specifications:
Hindalco meets international standards in the manufacture of litho stock used for high-quality reproduction needs in offset printing.

Rolled from scalped ingots using sophisticated, state-of-the-art rolling facilities for shape and gauge control, Hindalco's litho stock is tension levelled to ensure flatness and then solvent cleaned to remove excess oil and loosen aluminum fines.

It is available in sheet and coil forms.

Packing
Both sheet and coil are wrapped with poly-lined bitumen gunny and hardboard and placed on a pallet.
