Dragon fruit is actually a type of cactus. The fruit comes in three colors. Two have pink skin, but with different colored flesh (one white, the other red). The other type has a yellow skin with white flesh. "Dragon fruit doesn't really have much taste. The best way I can describe it is similar to a white kiwi - in terms of both consistency and flavor. It's usually not very sweet and tends to be somewhat bland, though crunchy due to the many little black seeds.
