Silver Impregnated Activated Carbon

Corn Feed Meal

Corn gluten feed is a by-product obtained from the wet milling process, where the corn kernel is separated into starch, oil, protein, and bran components. Initially, the corn undergoes soaking in sulfurous acid, resulting in steep liquor containing protein, minerals, vitamins, and energy sources. The swollen kernel then undergoes extraction to isolate starch and oil. The remaining fiber or bran is combined with the steep liquor. The resulting wet corn gluten feed can be dried to approximately 90 percent dry matter, referred to as Dry Corn Gluten Feed.
When diets are formulated to fulfill protein requirements and are equivalent in energy, corn gluten feed approximates soybean meal as a protein source. However, it's essential to note that the amino acid content quality is inferior in corn gluten feed compared to soybean meal.
