Working principle: Aluminum extrusion process
Aluminum extrusion is a versatile, heat-dependent process used to shape aluminum alloys into unique cross-sectional profiles. T-slot aluminum and aluminum angles are the two most common aluminum extrusions, but custom molds can be created for unique applications.
Choosing the right extruded aluminum alloy
When selecting the type of aluminum alloy for extrusion, formability and workability, weldability, machinability, corrosion resistance, heat treatability, material strength and end-use application must be considered.
Alloy 1000 Series
This series is an excellent choice for applications requiring high formability, weldability, and corrosion resistance. However, the 1000 series does not respond well to heat treatment and has low strength. Typical uses include metal spinning and general fabrication.
Alloy 2000 Series
The 2000 series, on the other hand, offers high strength. The grades within this series are often used in the production of complex parts, since the 2000 series offers a high degree of machinability. Also, its strength-to-weight ratio makes it ideal for aerospace applications. However, these aluminum alloys provide low weldability and corrosion resistance.
Alloy 3000 Series
The 3000 series is the most popular. These alloys contain manganese and aluminum that is 20% stronger than the 1000 series while still maintaining commercial purity. The 3000 Series is commonly used in equipment in the food and chemical industries as well as general manufacturing.
Alloy 5000 Series
The 5000 series is most commonly used in marine environments due to its extremely high corrosion resistance. These alloys are unresponsive to heat treatment but possess a considerable degree of weldability, formability, and strength.
Alloy 6000 Series
Series 6000 is most commonly used in structural and construction environments because of its ease of welding. It can also be anodized, allowing for a variety of surface finishes. This series is typically used in hardware and coupling applications.
Aluminum extrusion is a process where aluminum is heated and forced through a shaped die to produce a specific cross-sectional profile. Custom cutting aluminum extrusion refers to the process of cutting the extruded aluminum profiles to specific lengths as per the requirements of the customer. This allows the customer to have a tailored solution for their specific application or project. Custom cut aluminum extrusion can be used for a variety of applications, such as in construction, transportation, and electronics, among others. The advantages of custom cut aluminum extrusion include its light weight, high strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion.
How to Custom Cutting Aluminum Extrusion
There are several methods for custom cutting aluminum extrusion, including the following:
Saw cutting: This is a common method for cutting aluminum extrusion to length. A saw blade is used to cut the profile to the desired length.
Chop saw: This method uses a rotary saw blade to cut the aluminum extrusion. Chop saws are quick and accurate, making them a popular choice for custom cutting.
Band saw: This method uses a continuous band blade to cut the aluminum extrusion. Band saws are ideal for cutting long lengths of extrusion and are often used in production environments.
CNC cutting: This method uses computer numerical control (CNC) technology to precisely cut aluminum extrusion to the desired length. CNC cutting is ideal for complex shapes and profiles and provides high accuracy and repeatability.
The extrusion process shapes aluminum by heating the billet and forcing it through the forming openings in the die, producing up to 5 kilometers of extruded product from a single billet. After exiting the extrusion process, the tube is shaped to the same shape as the die opening and then coiled. Depending on the product specifications, coatings such as zinc and solder can be applied to enhance the tube's performance.
Extruded tubes are manufactured with high precision and very low tolerances to meet specific customer requirements.

Aluminum Manifolds
Aluminum pneumatic manifolds are convenient connection points for dispensing media in a variety of fluid handling applications. Quickly create an organized way to supply multiple lines from a single source by screwing pneumatic fittings into ports. Our standard aluminum manifold products can easily meet the piping and installation requirements of your pneumatic control system.
Advantages of Aluminum Manifolds
Stations max up to 10 valves
Anodizing with great resistant to corrosion
Clear inlet and outlet, without rag
Each one with individual package
Attractive prices directly from the integrated block manufacturer
Available materials: aluminum
What you need to know before designing a manifold block
Block thicknessThe block
The initial thickness of the block is set at 5 times the maximum diameter of the valve port, and then gradually reduced according to specific requirements.
Drill oil holes Deep, slant holes
The process hole should be as small as possible, considering the high flow chamber first and then the pilot chamber.
Wall thickness of each hole
The safety wall thickness between oil chambers should not be less than 3~5mm, and should consider the deflection of the drill bit within the allowed range.
Oil chamber
The flow rate of hydraulic oil in the oil chamber should not be higher than 12m/s, and the return chamber should be 20-40% larger than the inlet chamber.
