Akbari
The open-mouthed, almond-shaped Akbari pistachio cultivar has a darker shell than other varieties of Persian pistachios. It is a late-bearing fruit that is also referred to as the "long pistachio," and it is harvested in late September.
The skin of the green kernel is discolored and drab. Akbari pistachios into the following groups (pcs/Oz) based on their size: 18â??20; 20â??22; and 22â??24. Max. 5% moisture, max. 2.5% C/M, max. 2.5% semi-open are the maximum values for the standard sorted Akbari pistachio.
Ahmad Aghaei
The category of long pistachios includes Ahmad Aghaei pistachios. In comparison to Akbari pistachios, it also has a lighter shell, which increases its marketability. The season for harvesting this particular commercial nut starts in early September when it has finished its growth cycle in the large farms. The Ahmad Aghaei nut is well-known for its flavor and has a nice red kernel color. It is divided into the following groups (pcs/Oz) based on size: 24-26, 26-28, and 28-30.
Kale Ghouchi
Due to its large kernel size, the Kalle Ghouchi variety of pistachio, is the most popular variety on the market. On the middle and end of September, the kalle Ghouchi pistachio is harvested after finishing its growth cycle in large fields. The quality and nutritional value of pistachios are impacted by the hot, dry climate. This pistachio is well-known for its distinctive flavor and features a round kernel. Based on its size, it is categorized as a jumbo pistachio and falls into the following groups (pcs/Oz): 18â??20, 20â??22, 22â??24, and 24-26.
Fandoghi
The little, round nut on the round Fandoghi pistachio has a tiny shell. One of the most well-known pistachio varieties is the round Fandoghi kind. The most popular variety of pistachio among all varieties in Iran is this one, also referred to as the round kind. This variety of pistachio is harvested in the first part of September. When compared to other pistachio varieties, the Fandoghi variety has one of the tiniest kernels. As a result, it has the most volume among pistachio varieties. This round pistachios are divided into the following groups (pcs/Oz) based on its size: 26-28, 28-30, and 30-32.
