Savofil, Savoflod, Vitagel Cable Filling Compounds & Optic Fibre Compounds
Telecommunication Compounds
Telecommunication Compounds are used in the manufacture of Copper Cables as well as Optic Fibre Cables. These compounds are gels manufactured by blending specially selected Base Oils with waxes and thermoplastic elastomers. The resulting gels are used as filling compounds and flooding compounds in Copper Cables as well as Optic Fibre Cables.
Applications
The compounds fill voids in polyethylene insulated and sheathed Telephone Cables. Their basic function is to prevent moisture penetration into the cables in case of any damage to the cable sleeve.
The filling compounds used in Optic Fibre Cables have to meet specification related to moisture tolerance, softness at low temperature down to -40 deg C and stability at a high temperature of 150 deg C. Savita offers wide range of products meeting these requirements of customers across the Globe.
Products offered
Savita offers two products for Copper Cables â?? Savofil and Savoflod.
Savofil is used as a filling compound, while Savoflod is used as a flooding compound. Both products meet the requirements and specifications of national and international customers.
For the Copper Cable industry, Savitaâ??s products for filling and flooding can be processed by melting as well as by pressure filling. For filling with pressure, gel is designed with appropriate thixotropic properties.
For the Optic Fibre Cable industry, Savita offers 2 products â?? Vitagel MS and Vitagel F, meeting national & international standards.
Characteristics
The products for Copper Cables - Savofil & Savoflod - for filling and flooding respectively can be processed either by melting or application of pressure. For filling with pressure, gels are designed with appropriate thixotropic properties.
Vitagel MS, used in Optic Fibre Cables, is a filling compound which is directly in contact with sensitive Optic Fibre. This gel has excellent low temperature and high temperature properties. It is stable over the temperature range of -40 deg C to 150 deg C and meets national & international standards. The product also has very good rheological properties making it suitable for processing under pressure. Savitaâ??s flooding gel, Vitagel F, is also designed to meet national and international specifications.
Gels For Cable Connectors
These are gels made from specially selected Base Oils, new generation polymers such as thermoplastic elastomers and special hydrophobic silica. The Connector Compound CN 11 is designed for high thermal, oxidative and hydrolytic stability.
Transformer Oils are electrical insulating oils produced by distillation of virgin paraffinic and naphthenic crude oils followed by modern technologies involving high pressure hydrogenation and hydro-treatment. All the processes are monitored closely and appropriate Base Oil fractions are selected for further processing. Further processing involves removal of moisture and polar impurities to obtain good electrical properties. The technologies result in products with very low pour point, excellent oxidation stability, cooling characteristics and electrical properties. These properties make them suitable for the most demanding transformer applications.
Applications:
The transformer oils are used in Distribution & Power Transformers, Switchgears and Circuit Breakers.
Products Offered:
Transol HGX is an inhibited grade of transformer oil specifically tailored for demanding applications in EHV and UHV Transformers.
Transol GE IEC60296:2012 Uninhibited is an uninhibited oil which is designed to meet Specifications as per IEC 60296:2012.
Transol GA & GAX grades are offered meeting the specifications of ASTM D3487 Type I & II respectively.
Characteristics:
The products fully meet the international and national specifications such as IS-335 2018 TYPE I & II { U & I }, IEC 60296, ASTM D 3487, BS 148, JIS, AS, ASTM. The inhibited grades have DBPC as additive, which is part of the approved list of inhibitors as per IEC 60296.
The products are strictly free from PCB, DBDS or any passivator or metal de-activator. They offer excellent oxidation stability with very low acid and sludge formation when tested according to IEC 61125 and ASTM D2440 besides having excellent dielectric strength, resistivity & dissipation factor. The low pour point and low viscosity characteristics of the product enable excellent cooling properties.

Transol Synth.100 - A Synthetic Ester Dielectric Fluid Developed For Robust Design and Long life performance of Transformers
Transol Synth, a unique formulation developed by our R&D team, is a transformer designer's ready and automatic choice for meeting most of the stringent needs of the end-users. Our Synthetic ester is a K-class fluid and has been developed to meet the specifications laid down in IEC 61099 / IS 16081.
Transol Synth answers several unanswered questions of end-users such as Can it withstand high temperatures? Is it user-friendly?. Is it maintenance-free?. Can it be used in free-breathing transformers? Can it prevent transformer fires that occur frequently? Is it environment-friendly? Can it combine all the above advantages with enhancement in asset life or higher loading capability? The answer to all the above questions is a reassuring Yes.
Yes, Transol Synth has got unique features of fire safety, environmental friendliness and superior performance characteristics in comparison to conventional mineral oil-based fluids. Our Synthetic ester is an ideal alternative to silicones, mineral oils and dry type transformers.
Besides the above advantages, it also protects the solid paper insulation and significantly slows down its long-term deterioration which accounts for considerable enhancement of transformer asset life. This feature translates to cost savings in the long term.
Unique Technical Features of Transol Synth crucial for designing a Robust Transformer:
Fire-Safety:
By virtue of its superior fire point, Transol Synth has the potential to eliminate or minimize fire accidents caused by faults in the transformers during operation. In this respect Transol Synth-filled transformers could be a very viable option as compared to mineral oil-filled or dry type transformers.
Environmental Friendliness:
Our synthetic ester fluid is readily biodegradable and therefore eliminates damage to the environment. Hence, costs of handling the fluid if any accidental spillage takes place are quite low compared to mineral oils or silicone fluids.
Performance:
Transol Synth has very high moisture tolerance which helps in enhancing the life of cellulose paper insulation. The high moisture tolerance coupled with enhancement of paper life by Transol Synth enables higher loading of transformers and reduction of size of a transformer.
Design advantage:
The very high oxidative stability of Transol Synth makes it possible to design/operate transformers with or without free breathing systems.

Transol Synth has been type tested at a reputed Dielectric fluid Testing laboratory as per IEC 61099/IS 16081.
White Oils are manufactured from highly refined Base Oils and consist of saturated paraffinic and cycloparaffinic hydrocarbons. The refinement process ensures complete removal of aromatics, sulphur and nitrogen compounds. The technologies employed result in products that are highly stable over time besides being hydrophobic, colourless, odourless and tasteless.
Applications
White Mineral Oils are extensively used as bases for pharmaceuticals and personal care products. The inertness of the product offers properties such as good lubricity, smoothness and softness and resistance to moisture in the formulations.
The products are also used in the Polymer processing and plastic industry such as polystyrene, polyolefin and thermoplastic elastomers. The oil controls the melt flow behaviour of the finished polymer besides providing release properties. Very often the oils also impart improvement in physical characteristics of the finished product.
Food grade Mineral Oils can be used for direct food contact applications such as dough divider & dust suppression in grain silos. These oils can also be used for lubricating food handling equipments and impregnating food packaging & wrapping papers.
Products Offered
Savita offers two grades of White Mineral Oils Savonol and Technol.
