Take temperature readings from a distance, or underwater, using this Waterproof DS18B20 Digital Temperature Sensor. It's got a 90cm (0.9m) cable with a stainless steel, PVC coated probe at the end. HOOK-UP GUIDE
This sensor is simple, you've got 3 wires (Power, Ground and Data). You simply need to connect the data pin to an input pin on your micro-controller and the power and ground to power and ground
You'll also need to connect a resistor between power and signal wires, as shown in the circuit diagram on the Sensor's wiki page.
