Process flow

Working principle:
Disc centrifuge the bowl will be driven by the main motor by the friction clutch and screw gear pair to rotate highly around the main shaft. Stock liquid flows from the center charging inlet on the top to the bottom through the charging pipe. And then passes through disc seats to the bowl's space. The bigger gravity solid phase particles in the stock liquid is settled down to the bowl's wall by the centrifugal force and then under the control of the side bowl drained out of the residue outlet but liquid phase is fully settled down to the bowl wall by the centrifugal force field and then under the control of the side bowl it is drained out of the residue outlet but liquid phase is fully settled down to the center along the discs to drain out by the centripetal pump.

With a 3 phase decanter centrifuge, it is possible to separate 3 phases from each other in one process step only. For example, two liquids which cannot be mixed because of different densities (e.g. oil and water) are separated from a solids phase. Palm oil is one of the world's most widely produced vegetable oils. It is the fruit of the oil palm tree, a tropical species that originated in West Africa, but now grows as a hybrid in many parts of the world, including Asia and Central America. Palm oil is used for a variety of purposes. The world demand for palm oil has soared in the last two decades, first for its use in food, consumer products and more recently as the raw material for biofuel. Palm oil is extracted in a multiple stage process.
The Shenzhou centrifuge enables three-phase separation, i.e. the simul- taneous separation of two immiscible liquids with different densities and one solid phase, provided that the solid phase is the heaviest phase. The most important difference from a decanter is the separate dis- charge of the two liquid phases. The Shenzhou centrifuge discharges the heavy liquid (water) via an adjustable impeller under pressure and the light liquid phase (oil) by gravity. The adjustable impeller allows ad- justing the separation zone inside the bowl and so the separation effi- ciency of the machine during operation. This optimizes the purity of the liquids and may possibly eliminate downstream equipment.
Crude palm oil (CPO) coming from the screw press passes through the vibration screen and is collected in the crude oil tank equipped with a heating device and optionally with a slowly rotating agitator. After the crude oil tank, a feed pump transfers the oil directly to the Shenzhou centrifuge by passing a de-sanding cyclone. In the Shenzhou centrifuge, the three- phase separation takes place providing clean oil, water and solids.
