Concrete block mould
Our moulds are made of high quality steel and available in various shapes and sizes. The mould is best placed on a steel or plastic base, release agent applied. Concrete poured in, indeally vibrated using a poker then left to cure for 24 hours. Once cured the catch pin is removed and the L shapes moved away and the remaining block turned over using a fork lift or equivalent, then moved using a scissor lift ideally).
The finished blocks are often used for retaining walls, aggregate bays, silage pits, road blocks and temporary and moveable walling solution.

Used to measure the degradation of mineral aggregates of standard gradings resulting from a combination of actions including abrasion or attrition, impact, and grinding in a rotating steel drum containing a specified number of steel spheres.
Consists of a hollow steel cylinder, with a wall thickness of 12 mm (1/2) closed at both ends having an inside diameter of 711 mm (28), and an inside length of 508 mm (20).

This machine is used to determine the resistance to wear of aggregates. The machine consists of a steel frame suitable to house four 200 mm dia.x 154 mm length cylinders (EN 1097-1) or two 200 mm dia.x 400 mm length cylinders (EN 13450). The top machine is enclosed in a sound proof and
safety cabinet conforming to CE requirement and stops automatically when the cover is open. The machine is equipped with an automatic counter, which can be preset to the required number of revolutions of the drum or the total working time.
The four standard cylinders 200 mm dia.x 154 mm length are included. The 400 mm long cylinders and steel spheres are not included and have to be ordered separately. See accessories.

The Pendulum Skid Tester measures the frictional resistance between a rubber slider mounted on the end of a pendulum arm and the test surface. This provides highway engineers with a routine method of checking the resistance of wet and dry surfaces to slipping and skidding, both in the lab and on site.
It is based on the Izod principle: a pendulum rotates about a spindle attached to a vertical pillar. At the end of the tubular arm a head of known mass is fitted with a rubber slider.
The pendulum is released from a horizontal position so that it strikes the sample surface with a constant velocity. The distance travelled by the head after striking the sample is determined by the friction of the sample surface.
A reading of Skid Resistance is obtained.
