ï?? Silane HENGDA-E8166 is versatile amino functional coupling agents used a broad range of applications to provide superior bonds between inorganic substrates and organic polymers. The secondary amine function reacts with a wide array of thermoset, thermoplastic and elastomeric materials.
ï?? Silane-endcapped Polyurethanes: Silane-terminated polyurethanes can be prepared by reacting traditional NCO-terminated urethane prepolymers with HENGDA-E8166. It can react very fast with free isocyanate groups and lead to a high converted silane-endcapped product. Side reactions can be significantly reduced. It is the most recommended silane for endcapping Polyurethanes. It leads to colorless low-viscosity PU prepolymers with improved UV stability and reduced yellowing tendency of sealants. Another benefit of HENGDA-E8166 is that it does not contain traces of toxic aniline. Examples of applications where HENGDA-E8166 used include polyurethanes for structural adhesives, parquet adhesives and over-paintable hybrid sealant.

The aminosilane is an excellent adhesion promoter in acrylic coatings, adhesives and sealants. With polysulfide, urethane, RTV silicones, epoxy, nitrile, phenol formaldehyde resin, adhesives and sealants, the product improves pigment dispersion and maximizes adhesion to glass, aluminum and steel.
ï??Fiber glass Reinforcement
In fiberglass reinforced thermosetting plastics and thermoplastics, the aminosilane enhances the flexural, tensile and interlaminar shearing strengths before and after exposure to humidity. This product greatly improves wet electrical properties. Fiberglass reinforced thermoplastics, polyamides, polyesters and polycarbonates exhibit increased flexural and tensile strengths before and after wet exposure when this silane is used.
