Proof Load = 2 x S.W.L. (Safe Working Load)
Other threads can also be supplied to special order.
Shoulder Nut Eye Bolt - Installation for Angular loading
The threaded shank must protrude through the load sufficiently to allow full engagement of the nut.
If the eye bolt protrudes so far through the load that the nut cannot be tightened securely against the load, use properly sized washers to take up the extra space
Between The Nut And The Load
Place washers or spacers between nut and load so that when the nut is tightened securely, the shoulder is secured flush against the load surface.
Forged Eye Bolt Warning & Applications
Important Safety Information - Read & Follow
Inspection / Maintenance Safety
Never use eye bolt that shows signs of wear or damage
Never use eye bolt if eye or shank is bent or elongated.
Always be sure threads on shank and receiving holes are clean
Never machine, grind, or cut eye bolt.
Assembly Safety
Never exceed load limits specified in Table I
Never use regular nut eye bolts for angular lifts.
Always use shoulder nut eye bolts (or machinery eye bolts) for angular lifts.
For angular lifts, adjust working load as follows:
Never undercut an eye bolt to seat shoulder against the load.
Always countersink receiving hole or use washers to seat shoulder.
Always screw eye bolt down completely for proper seating.
Always tighten nuts securely against the load.
Shoulder Nut Eye Bolt - Installation for Angular loading
Operating Safety
Always stand clear of load
Never lift load with steady, even pull - do not jerk.
Always apply load to eye bolt in the plane of the eye, not at an angle
Never exceed the capacity of the eye bolt.
When using lifting slings of two or more legs, make sure the loads in the legs are calculated using the angle from the vertical to the leg and properly size the shoulder nut or machinery eye bolt for the angular load.

Bind the rope from the end at a distance equal to the loop desired, plus an additional length of about 10 times the diameter of the rope .split the rope by separating three adjacent strands, leaving the other three strands and core intact. Bend the large section(three strands core ) into the desired size loop and start laying the three separated strands in to the grooves of the bent section,as close to the throat as possible.
Completely lay the three strands around the loop as deep into the throat as possible. allowing the six strands ends and the core to project close to the throat of the loop.
In application of pressed-on ferrule is rolled in eye splice. Noticed how smooth the fabric is joined.
Position the special ferrule over the rolled in splice in preparation for swaging. Ends are still flats.
By administration of tremendous force by swaging machine, ferrule is tapered.
Wire Rope Press Grip Sling Are
Economical Safer And Easier To Work With
Three slings you can count on high strength efficiency on all eye splices.they are tapered and completely sealed with at both end to avoid snagging on loads. these ferrules completely cover all strands and locks them securely into place. there are no opening or rough projection to catch on hands. Rope slings with special pressed on metal ferrules are easier to work with.
Slings are made from 6x19 wire rope and from 6x37 wire rope. We recommended use of 6x19 construction. Upto 1 ¼ :6x37or large slings.
Note:
Standred sleeves are recommended for use with 6x19 or 6x37,IPS or EIF RRL,FC or IWRC wire rope.
Double Part Thimble Eye
Double Part Basket
Grommet Round
Application for Grommat
Grommat slings can be fabricated in very short circumstances. The reason is this: Grommat slings are made from one continuous length of strand or wire rope. This requires only one tuck-in point as compared with six tuck-in points needed manufacturer an endless sling.
A Grommat consists of an endless rope having construction 6/1 construction & is used where high ultimate breaking strength of the rope is required beyond the limits of a single part rope.
A strand of sufficient length to complete the Grommat shall be obtained by either of the following methods:
Method A: An order strand shall be unlaid from a specimen of 6/1 rope conforming to the requirement of the customer.
Method B: Unlaying from a specimen of 6/4 rope having strands in all respects equipment to those obtained by method A above.
Method C: Using a virgin strand either prefromed or post formed & in all other respects equivalent to those obtained by method A & B.
During the course of construction of a Grommat the performed lay of the strand shall be maintained and shall not be interfered with except when laying in the core for which purpose length of strand left to form the core should be straightened .
The length of the strand required to form a Grommat shall be equal to about 7.5 times the parameter of the Grommat in case of spliced Grommat. But in case of complete streamline splicing length shall be 4 times the effective length.
Butt Splice
The two ends of the rope should be joined together by two five –tuck splices.
Number of Tucks
The splices shall be tucked three times the full size of strand, a fourth time with the strand each reduced to half the original number and a fifth with the strands each further reduced to one third the original number. The heart strand is to be rowed in during tucking so that a double heart is produced for at least the length of the first three tucks in both directions.
Method of Tucking
The Tucks of the Splice shall be made over one strand and under one strand against the lay of the rope. The heart strand of the rope shall not be removed when the strands are opened out for tucking, but may be cut to a suitable length.
Finishing
The ends of the splice in way of the twisted off ends of wire that is between the end and the third tuck shall be tightly served with seizing wire, after parcelling with canvas, Hessian or wax paper.
Two leg wire rope sling with main ring at top and hooks at the bottom.
Three leg wire rope sling with main ring at top and thimble at the bottom.
Four leg wire rope sling with main ring and intermediate ring at top with bow shackle at bottom.

Features
Zebra manufactures two basic types of lashing systems, which are each available in either two part or endless configurations, with a wide variety of different end terminals.
Cambuckle
Compact and light in weight, Cambuckle lashings are ideal for securing light loads, the tension being applied by pulling the lashing hand tight. The Lashing release mechanism operates by depressing the thumb bar. No pre-tensioning of the webbing is possible. Cambuckle lashings are available in a range of Minimum Break Strengths from 250 to 1000 kg.
Ratchet Systems
For medium to heavy duty applications, Zebra offers a very wide variety of Ratchet Lashings Systems in Minimum Break Strengths ranging from 500 to 8000 kg. 25mm, 35mm, 50mm and 75mm webbing widths are available depending upon the loading requirements of the selected Lashing system.Within the range are many different types of Ratchet systems, all carefully designed and engineered to exert the right amount of pre-tensioning to the lashing.
How to order Lashings
Having first selected the appropriate Minimum Breaking Strength, the lashing format must next be considered. Here, there are two options: Two-Part or Endless, with the possibility to specify the fixed and overall lengths of a Two Part Lashing or the overall length of an Endless Lashing.
FL= Fixed Length
OL= Overall Length

Zebra flat webbing slings are manufactured from high tenacity, 100% polyester yarn. Simplex
slings is a single layered webbing. Sling ends are terminated either in reinforced loops or any
combination of metal end fittings. Manufacturer’s test certificate is provided for safe work load
along with the slings. Simplex slings are preferred because of their broad width which gives wider
support to lifts. The slings are of three types, namely simplex sling with soft eyes, simplex sling
with metal end fitting and endless sling. They normally lift loads with the sling revved around the
load (Choke hitch), or on two parts of the sling (Basket Hitch). They are tested in straight pull.
Factor of safety for webbing 1:7
The colour combination as shown in the chart is a mere indicator, however the colour may change subject to availability of raw materials
Features
Soft, supple, and light in weight, easy to handle.
Internationally identifiable colour code, SWL shown on slings and also shown by the way of woven stripes i.e. each black stripe for each ton.
Being endless, wears evenly as there is no single point use.
Ideally suited for lifting smooth, polished or coated objects.
Conforms to B. S. 6668 Part 2 and Indian standards.
Zebra Round Slings are light weight compared to the working load ratio and being Polyester
do not rust or corrode as in metal slings.
These slings have no danger of hand injury to workman caused by cut wires and does
not spark, hence can be used explosive environment.
The elongation factor on load is only 3%, hence it absorbs the load while lifting.
Zebra Round Slings flattens and adjust to contours of the load point thus forming a firm grip.
Factor of safety for webbing 1:7 and for steel terminals 1:4
Features
Zebra has set the industry standard for the lowering-in Belt with ten years of continuous
improvement.
The lowering-in belt system consist of two parts
The steel head iron (hook iron, lifting iron or bail).
The sling fabric.
The sling fabric is woven from high tenacity polyester yarn.
The steel belt end and the head irons are designed for ease of use, quick and easy coupling
and uncoupling.
The lowering-in belt sling system is designed for long and durable life and is conservatively rated
with a safety factor of 5:1. These figures are given on the data sheet overleaf. A certificate to this
effect for individual belts and head irons can be provided on request. Hooks are stamped with the
safe working load. All sling fabrics have a tag or plate with the safe working load.
Manufactured from duplex polyester webbing slings joined together to be used with heavy duty steel terminals.
High load capacity for lowering pipes.
High safety, low elasticity and resistant to ultra-violet rays.
Simple on-site belt replacement in minutes with advanced terminal design.
Economical in use due to long working life.
Extra heavy duty lowering belt can be supplied on request.

General Description
Zebra Multi-Leg Slings are manufactured using either Round slings or Duplex Webbing Slings, depending upon the type and the Safe Working Load.
Hooks, master links and auxiliary links are manufactured from quenched and tempered alloy steel. Duplex Slings are stitched directly onto the metal components, Round slings being attached via auxiliary links. All Round slings are fitted with protective slaving and anti-abrasion or anti-cutting protection can also be specified as required.
Please note that further information on the general performance, specification, safety in use and maintenance of these products is covered in more detail in the sections on Round slings or Webbing Slings
Safe Working Load Angles
The Safe Working Load values quoted in the tables have been rated using the uniform load method for a maximum angle for each leg of 45 degrees from the vertical, as shown in the diagrams. Slings may be rated at greater angles if required, please consult Zebra for further details. The textile elements of these Slings have a minimum safety factor of 7:1 and the metal elements a safety factor of 4:1. All slings are serialized and issued with a test certificate.

Forged - Quenched and Tempered.
Proper design, careful forging, and precision controlled quench and tempering gives maximum strength without excessive weight and bulk.
Every Crosby Swivel hoist hook has a pre-drilled cam which can be equipped with a latch. Simply purchase the latch assemblies listed and snown on pages 89-91. Even years after purchase of the original hook, latch assemblies can be added.
Load rating codes stamped on each hook. 322 Swivel Hooks use the same load rating code as 319 Shank Hooks, see page 84 for proper Hook Identification Codes.
Hoist hooks incorporate markings forged into the product which address two QUICK-CHECK features:
Deformation Indicators -- Two strategically placed marks, one just below the shank or eye and the other on the hook tip, which allows for a QUIC-CHECK measurement to determine if the throat opening has changed, thus indicating abuse or overload.
Angle Indicators - Indicates the maximum included angle which is allowed between two (2) sling legs in the hook. These indicators also provide the opportunity to approximate other included angles between two sling legs.
Note
Carbon swivel hooks.75tC-15tC: proofload is 2 times working load limit.Designed with a 5 to 1 safety factor.
Alloy swivel hooks 1.5tA-22tA : proofload is 2.5 times working load limit. Designed with a 4 to Isafety factor.
Alloy swivel hook 31.5tA: proofload is 2 times working load limit. Designed with a 4 to 1 safety factor.
