Description:
Flow star RF Level Switch series FERF 200 comprises of two parts, namely a Sensing Probe and an Electronic controller.
The Sensing Probe has two parts, active section and shield section insulated from each other as shown in the diagram.
A dust proof Probe Head is provided to cover the terminals of the Rf signal cable. Meaning hereby, the Probe contains no electronics or any other sensitive element.
The Electronic Controller separately housed in dust proof enclosure designed for outdoor duty and mounted at a convenient location. It contains the entire electronics, etc. and is connected through a coaxial cable to the Sensing Probe.
Functions:
Flow star RF Level Switch Series FERF200 Models work on Rf Principle. Independent but identical low power RF signals equal in frequency, phase, amplitude and wave shape generated in the Electronic Controller are provided to active and shield sections of the Sensing Probe, whereas, the reference ground of electronics is connected to the vessel shell
The signal provided to the shield section is maintained constant by use of a compensating circuit in the Electronic Controller while the signal applied to the active section varies with change of media between probe and the vessel shell/wall

Vessels
In most of glass plants, vessels are used as reactors, receivers, separators and measuring of feed vessels.Vessels are available in spherical shape from 5 to 200 litre and in cylindrical shape from 5 to 300 litre capacity. Cylindrical vessels can be supplied with metal/glass jackets also.All vessels are provided with a bottom outlet for which a suitable valve can be selected from range of valves.
SIGHT Glass
Sight glass is a device used between any kind of non transparent pipelines to observe the flow of liquid. This can be used both in horizontal as well as vertical pipeline. Sight glass is constructed in such a way that it gives a complete view from every angle. A sight glass consists of one glass pipe section, one metal frame, a pair of PTFE bushes and washers and an acrylic cover. Borosilicate pipe section is highly heat resistant, has excellent chemical resistance and has low thermal expansion. Metal frame is composed of two flanges, which are welded with studs so that the stresses and vibrations of the pipeline do not transfer to the glass pipe section. Its check nut keeps the glass pipe section in compression and provides ease in replacement.
PTFE bushes on both sides of glass pipe section that liquid ensures that liquid in the pipeline does not come in contact with metal frame. PTFE washers are used as gaskets while fitting the sight glass in the pipeline. Acrylic cover covers the glass pipe section and protects it from outer damages. Sight glass can be supplied with Ms/SS304/SS316 frame with any standard drilling.

Measurement & Controls
In this part we have introduced equipment for efficient measure and control like Digital temperature indicators and controllers, Electro-magnet and timers for reflux control and Liquid level controller.
Glass plant and pipeline should be supported correctly. To prevent inducing undesirable stresses stresses in the glass, support should be rigid. When supported, glass should be in compression. Generally glass plant and equipment are supported in a rectangular tubular structure. This structure is formed of galvanized mild steel tubing with the cast iron fittings, which are described in this catalogue. This type of structure provides enough flexibility for future modifications and is strong enough to support a glass unit. Following rules should be followed while supporting a glass unit in a tubular structure.
The structure be rigid. To give lateral support it must be braced back to the nearest wall or any rigid feature.
All glass columns are build up from a fixed point on which whole weight of the column should be taken. If total loads exceeds the permissible limits, counter balance supports should be used to relieve excessive weight.
With change in temperature, glass column and tubular structure expands at different rate. Therefore glass unit must be free for vertical movement above the fixed point. Hence above the fixed point guide supports should be used to give lateral support.

For forming the structure "B" class galvanised tubes are used in size of ½",1", 1¼", 1½", and 2. Cut tubes are available in required length to form a standard size structure. Cut tubes are provided with rubber plug at both the ends.

Flowstar Series FECTX-100 are capacitance type level transmitters. The probe is based on properties of capacitor. Vessel wall & probe forms two electrodes. If vessel is of non conductive material, the probe will be double rod type. The distance between electrode & surface area of electrodes remain unchanged. The variable is the depth of the material being measured which represents the dielectric constant between two electrodes. Air & vacuum have relative dielectric constant as 1 & that of liquids, it is greater than 1. The capacitance of the capacitor the therefore depends on how much material lies between the probe & vessel wall i.e. whether the probe is covered with or free from material. The capacitor changes with change in level of the material & provides corresponding 4-20 mA DC continuous output
