To be the leading Vietnamese high-tech enterprise, Rang Dong always places a strong emphasis on research and development. Annually, the company spends 2% of revenue investing in technological equipment and 20% of profit after tax on the development of science and technology. Therefore, in recent years, the Company has established three R&D centers:
2011: Founded Lighting R&D Center, which is considered �¢??the science and technology brain" of the Company. The center focuses on researching and developing new light sources, green lighting systems, solutions for energy-saving and eco-friendly lighting spaces, as well as solutions for construction and high-tech agriculture.
The center has many scientists, including professors, associate professors, doctors, and engineers from famous institutes and schools. Assoc. In 2020, Rang Dong established two new R&D centers: the Creativity Center and Digital R&D Center, and the Business Model R&D Center:
- Digital R&D Center: The mission is to be the brain to receive, transfer, and develop the achievements of digital technology such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and computing cloud..., into production and business, especially developing the strategic product line LED Ecosystem 4.0.
- Business Model R&D Center: Specializing in research and development of new business models in lighting fields.
The two centers have signed with many large technology corporations in Vietnam, such as VNPT, FPT, Viettel, etc., to conduct business on digital platforms.
