The wooly white silk is often referred to as the Ahimsa silk or Peace Silk as the process does not involve the killing of the silk moth. The silk in this case is gathered after the moth is released. Characteristics of Eri Silk : White / Off-white colour Fabric woven with Eri silk have great strength, dense, fine and durability. It has good elasticity. Has specific thermal property â?? if woven in thick texture, it can be used as woolen fabric. It is soft and have wool like finish. Eri silk is heavier than other silks.
