It can also contain accessory minerals, such as quartz, mica, feldspar, and calcite. The Drilling Grade Bentonite Powder is used as a mud constituent for oil and water well drilling. Its roles are mainly to seal the borehole walls, remove drill cuttings, and lubricate the cutting head.
