The JXD 509G FPV quadcopter drone borrows its design from Yuneec

JXD 509G first person view drone with headless mode

It seems that a new trend has appeared on the word of drones, to copy the design of the professional models. This new JXD 509G aka Pioneer UFO looks almost identical with the much more expensive Typhoon Q500 from Yuneec Electric Aviation. Of course, a 10 times cheaper drone can’t offer the same build quality and professional features.
The JXD 509G drone comes with a full 5.8GHz real time image transmission system that includes a 2MP FPV camera and a FPV monitor. The FPV is self powered by a built-in reachable LI-PO battery. This is the reason why the package includes two USB charger not just one like other drone models.
Trying to imitate the Q500’s camera design, the JXD 509G’s camera has a very weird and unusual form.
Thanks to the light weight airframe, this drone has around 10 minutes of continuous playtime specified by the manufacturer. I think this long operation mode seem optimistic and hard to believe taken into consideration that is powered by a small capacity 600mAh battery.
