Ring joint metallic gasket Metal ring gasket is by smithing, heat treatment and mechanical processing. It is suitable for oil or gas pipe flange, pressure vessel, high speed joint face, valve with high temperature and high pressure. It has good sealing performance even when the pressure and temperature is not stable.The typical style r are divided into ellipse style and octagonal style according to its cross section. The standard style r gasket is made conform to the api 6a & asme b16, 20 standard, can bear 10000psi pressure at most. The octagonal style and ellipse style can be interchanged in flange with trapezum groove. Style rx is an improvement of style r in pressure resistant. It is a standard ring gasket suitable for all the flange sealing which is suitable for style r. Style by is another item with a high pressure resistant up to 15000psi. Hardness of Materials On compression of the flange assembly, it is imperative that the ring joint gasket be significantly softer than the flange groove so that the gasket plastically deforms and not the groove.
