Ball clay, or plastic clay as it is also known, is an extremely rare mineral, only found at a handful of locations around the world. It is a kaolinitic clay that commonly consists of 20 - 80% kaolinite, 10 - 25% mica, 6 - 65% quartz as well as organic matter. Ball clay is formed from the weathering and transportation by water of parent rocks which are deposited in ancient river basins from where it is extracted. Applications: - Ball clays are prized for the production of traditional ceramics such as sanitaryware, tableware, wall and floor tiles as well as for technical ceramics and electrical porcelains. Ball Clay products are immensely used in the manufacturing of Ceramics, Sanitaryware, Vitrified Tiles, Glazes and Engobes ultramarine and in various other purposes. As per requirement Custom sizes and Material of required specifications can be made in case of Bulk and Regular orders. BRIGHTNESS: - 96+ AS PER REQUIREMENT Index Compound Result 1. Specifications Products : Hydrous, Water Washed, Classified Use : Industrial Use Color : White to Super White Form : Lumps, Powder, Noodles Packing Type : Plastic Bags / Jumbo Bags Packing Size : 25kgs/50kgs/ 1000kgs Kaolin is a hydrated aluminium silicate crystalline mineral formed over many millions of years by the hydrothermal decomposition of granite rocks. It is a white soft mineral composed primarily Kaolinite mineral having chemical composition of Al2O3.2SiO2.2H2O with minor amounts of quartz, feldspar and sheet silicate minerals (mica, illite, smectite). Hard and soft clays are characterized by its fine particle size, platy or lamellar particle shape and chemically inertness. Clays having fine particle size are described as hard clay. Phyllosilicates being a sub group of silicate minerals that has typically less than 2um in diameter. The combination of platy shape and fine particle size results in improved processibility, improved reinforcement, tensile strength, abrasion and tera strength. After mining the above mineral ore is dressed, dried, pulverized, air-floated, water washed (levitated), calcined and surface modified. As per the application the grades are selected by the end user. The processing techniques at PEEKAY MINERALS ensures consistent quality, control of top-cut and average particle size and freedom from impurities at pocket friendly costs. Application & Features: Ceramics: China Clay is an essential constituent in Ceramics. It is used by almost manufacturer worldwide in Electrical porcelain, Fine China & dinnerware, Floor and Wall Tile, Roof Tile, Pottery, Sanitary ware, Tableware and other engineering products. The properties important for the use of China Clay in Ceramics are Plastic Properties, Drying properties, Firing properties, Firing Color, Electrical properties such as conductivity, dielectric content etc. Our clay permits product to be easily deformed under stress without rupturing and retains shape produced when stress is removed. Due to low water of plasticity, it does not require intense forming pressure to withstand handling/drying and the Green Strength is better. The Firing properties are excellent to produce super white finish. The processed clay is free from grits and all metallic impurities. The particle size is very low and even which keeps drying shrinkage in desired parameters.
As a general rule, The purer the sand, the clearer the products Silicon and oxygen are the earth's two most abundant elements and together they make silica, one of the earths three most common rock forming minerals. Akshar Minerals Silica sand is high purity natural crystalline silica. It is inherently bright, white, low in moisture and chemically inert in nature. Basically, It is made up of two main element Silica & Oxygen. Silica sand is made up of Silicon Dioxide. There are number of different uses of silica sand in the industrial and commercial sector, from golf courses to glass making . The chemical formula of Silica Sand is SiO2 Characteristics : High Purity Weather Resistant White Appearance Naturally Hard Controlled Particle size Chemically Inert Applications Akshar Minerals Silica sand is used depends on physical, chemical and mechanical characteristics such as grain size, shape color, structure and distribution as well as refractoriness strength and stability. There characteristics can differ depending on how mineral is processed after it is mined. This product gets easily mixed and can be used for high temperature applications like flat glass, furnace tubes and many more due to its excellent thermal expansion, hardness. It yields improved durability and burnish resistance. We make for all type of application in the industries like Glass industries, Sodium Silicate Industry, Golf course & Sport Ground, Adhesive and sealant, Rubber industry, Texture Wall Paint, Sand Blasting, Agro pesticide, Cosmetic industry, Soap & Detergent, Filtration Media, Power Plant & Petroleum, Construction Chemical Industry, Plastic, Fertilizer, Paint, Ceramic, Insulation, Foundry, Ramming Mass, Steel Industry, Landscaping, GRC & GRP Industry, Oil & Petroleum Industry, Oil Exploration & Oil Drilling.

Ball clay is a silicate clay rock of which kaolinite is the main constituent: Al2Si2O5(OH)4. Ball clays are kaolinitic clays in the family of silicate minerals. It commonly consists of kaolinite, mica, quartz silica, as well as few organic matters. Ball clay is formed from the weathering and transportation by water of parent rocks. Seams in the same deposit may vary in composition, depending on the quantity of the principal and accessory minerals. Ball clays are fine-grained, highly plastic clays, which are principally used in the manufacture of ceramic whiteware and sanitaryware where they are appreciated for their plasticity, unfired strength and their light colour on firing. Selected clays can even give pure white end products. Among others, ball clays are also used in refractories, in polymers, in adhesives and sealants and in horticulture as soil amendments. Ball clay is particularly valued as a base material in the manufacture of ceramics. Combined with kaolin, ball clays provide the cohesion and workability necessary for the creation of ceramic parts such as sanitaryware. While using it with kaolin, feldspar and quartz in tableware, ball clay confers high plasticity and a good white-fired colour to the end product. In wall and floor tiles, ball clays are prized for their plasticity and bonding properties. In glazes and engobes, they ensure a perfect finish. Electrical porcelain insulators Ball contain plastic clays to provide insulation from high voltage currents. BALL CLAY produced by Peekay Minerals are having the following charactsitics High plasticity High unfired mechanical strength Highly controlled rheological properties Controlled organic content Controlled residue Excellent workability End Users usually ask the following test results L Value firing test of whiteness Dry MOR Fired MOR at 1180 deg cent Water of Plasticity Shrinkage Sieve Analysis
As the name suggests DoloTalc is another form of Mineral which is mined from Soapstone Quarries and commonly referred as Bhuria in local parlance It is basically a blend of Talc and Dolomite in a rock It is available in many different Grades and Whiteness Apart from the naturally available DoloTalc Mineral we have indigenously developed various Grades with custom made blend of Talc and dolomite through our own self designed processing technique The resulting DoloTalc is white in color and possess a perfect blend of characteristics of both Talc and Dolomite Manufacturing process of Wall Putty requires ingredients which are rich in lime CaCO3 and also have high oil absorption capacity This requirement makes DoloTalc an ideal contender because of limerich Dolomite and oilabsorbing Talc in its composition This Grade has found wide acceptance in Paints Wall Putty Soap and Detergents Ceramics Glass and Plastic industries Physical Properties Brightness : 85 98 Whiteness : 87 99 Specific Gravity : 275 Moisture : 010 Max Bulk Density : 040 070 Depending on the Particle Size Oil Absorption : 19 23 Depending on the Particle Size LOI : 5 50 Chemical Properties CaO : 25 25 MgO : 20 29 Al2O3 : 050 Max Fe2O3 : 050 Max SiO2 : 10 55 Particle Size D97 : 30 10 D50 : 7 3
