Birla Copper is used in the manufacture of continuous copper rods for wire, cable and transformer industries; and copper tubes for consumer durable goods and other applications in the form of alloys and sheets. The co-product sulphuric acid is used to produce phosphoric acid and value-added fertilisers like di-ammonium phosphate (DAP).
