Ammonium tetrafluoroborate is used in manufacturing of plastics as flame retardant, metallic plating, magnesium flux, soldering flux and are quenching for circuit breakers. It is also being used in synthesizing different organic salts and ionic liquids, which in turn can be used as a green solvent in chemical reactions.
