Cross Flow Cooling Tower Cross flow cooling tower is an induced draft cooling tower that can cool water. Cross Flow Cooling Towers are a type of heat exchange system used in various industrial processes and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems to remove excess heat from the surroundings. These towers work on the principle of evaporative cooling, utilizing water and air to transfer heat from a process or a system.Cross flow cooling tower working: The water flows vertically from the top of the tower, and the air flows horizontally through the filler. The air flow is orthogonal to the water flow in the cooling tower. Advantage Compact Design: Cross Flow Cooling Towers have a more compact design compared to other types of cooling towers, making them suitable for installations with limited space or height constraints. Their vertical structure allows for efficient use of space. Energy Efficiency: These cooling towers typically consume less power due to their design and operation. The water distribution system and air movement mechanisms result in lower energy requirements, leading to reduced operational costs. Effective Water Distribution: The fill material inside Cross Flow Cooling Towers ensures even water distribution, maximizing the surface area available for heat exchange between water and air. This helps in achieving better cooling efficiency. Lower Noise Levels: Cross Flow Cooling Towers tend to produce less noise during operation compared to other types, which is advantageous when the cooling towers are located near residential areas or noise-sensitive environments. Easy Maintenance: The design simplicity of Cross Flow Cooling Towers makes them easier to maintain and clean. Access to internal components and fill material is typically more straightforward, simplifying maintenance tasks. Handling Varying Flow Rates: These cooling towers can handle varying water flow rates effectively, making them versatile and adaptable to changing process requirements or external conditions. Good Water Quality: The water exposed to air in the cooling process is less likely to get contaminated with debris, dust, or other impurities. This can help maintain better water quality and reduce the need for frequent water treatment. Improved Water Conservation: Cross Flow Cooling Towers can be designed with features like drift eliminators, which help minimize water loss due to evaporation. This contributes to water conservation efforts and reduces the overall water consumption of the cooling system. Suitable for Warm Climates: Cross Flow Cooling Towers are well-suited for warm climates because of their effective cooling capacity even when the surrounding air temperatures are relatively high.
Cooling Tower Fill is one of the most important components for exchange of gas and water in cooling tower. It is the major parts to improve the efficiency of cooling tower and make sure the economy and safe operation. With the development of the plastic industry, counter-current tower drench water plastic packing shape ladder wave, inclined corrugated fills, which has the heat dissipation, durable, good performance, ventilated small resistance, based on the easy and other advantages. Counter-flow cooling tower fill with a 19mm pitch. The larger sheet spacing is suitable for water quality slightly less than ideal. RF1900 is used in counter-flow or cross-flow cooling tower applications and is available in glued blocks 305mm wide x 305mm high, and either 1830mm or 2440mm long. RF1900 can also be cut to length to your specific requirements, or supplied as loose sheets.
Closed Circuit Cooling Tower Closed circuit cooling tower (also known as an evaporative air cooler or closed cooling tower) is the tubular heat exchanger placed in the tower, through the circulation of air, spray water and circulating water heat exchange to ensure the cooling effect. AUVC not only provides different shapes of cooling towers used in industries, such as round shape cooling towers and square cooling towers, but also offers closed cooling towers and open circuit cooling towers as well. The type of closed circuit cooling tower is widely used in iron and steel metallurgy, power electronics, machining, air conditioning system and other industries. How do closed circuit cooling towers work? Closed-circuit cooling towers make it possible to separate the evaporative circuit from the process circuit (customer circuit). A stainless-steel plate heat exchanger attached to the cooling tower, in its dedicated room, allows a glycol-free operation, and a simplified and unequalled ease of maintenance. The closed circuit cooling tower works as follows On the process side to be cooled (customer loop), the water to be cooled enters a plate heat exchanger connected to the tower and is cooled and discharged. The primary loop is closed and never comes into contact with air. On the secondary side of the cooling tower, the water is sucked out of the pool by a pump and circulated through a stainless steel plate heat exchanger. The water leaving the exchanger is piped to the top of the unit. This water is graded and evenly dispersed over the exchange surfaces by dispersers (also known as water distribution nozzles). Air driven by fans (axial or centrifugal) enters from the lower part of the cooling tower, is heated and saturated with water and exits from the upper part, passing between the exchange surfaces. Under the effect of the surface tension of the filler ladder, the water spreads uniformly and flows away over the entire height of the tower. The exchange surface is thus increased. The water cooled by forced ventilation falls freely into an inclined pool located at the bottom of the unit. Types of Closed Type Cooling Tower

Fitzer Closed Loop Cooling Tower operates in a manner similar to conventional cooling towers, except that the heat load to be rejected is transferred from the process fluid to water and ambient air directly through a heat exchange coil. The coil serves to isolate the process fluid from outside environment, keeping it clean and contamination free in a closed loop, thus creating two separate circuits Primary / Internal circuit in which the process fluid circulates inside the coil Secondary / External circuit sprays circulating water from the basin over the coil which evaporates to reject heat to the environment.
A 500-ton cooling tower is a type of cooling tower that is designed to remove up to 500 tons of heat per hour from water used in industrial processes or HVAC systems. A 500-ton cooling tower would typically be appropriate for large industrial applications, such as power plants, chemical manufacturing facilities, or large commercial buildings. The capacity of a cooling tower is determined by several factors, including the design of the tower, the temperature of the water to be cooled, and the humidity of the surrounding air. Cooling towers are essential components of many industrial processes and HVAC systems, as they help to maintain the desired temperature of water used in cooling applications. Proper maintenance and operation of cooling towers are important to ensure optimal efficiency and prevent the growth of harmful bacteria like Legionella. Cooling tower Features Large capacity: A 500-ton cooling tower is designed to handle a high volume of water flow and remove a significant amount of heat from the water. High efficiency: Many cooling towers are designed to be highly efficient, using advanced technology and innovative design features to optimize cooling performance and minimize energy consumption. Durable construction: Cooling towers are often constructed of materials such as fiberglass, stainless steel, or galvanized steel to ensure durability and resistance to corrosion and environmental factors. Fan and motor assembly: The fan and motor assembly is a critical component of the cooling tower, as it provides the necessary air flow to remove heat from the water. The motor and fan assembly is typically designed to be highly reliable and energy-efficient. Water distribution system: The water distribution system in a cooling tower is responsible for evenly distributing the water over the fill material to ensure maximum contact with the air flow. Fill material: The fill material is an important component of the cooling tower, as it provides a large surface area for water to be exposed to the air flow, facilitating heat transfer and evaporation. Drift eliminators: Drift eliminators are designed to capture and remove water droplets that are carried out of the cooling tower by the air flow, preventing water loss and reducing the risk of environmental impact. 500 Ton Cooling Tower Application A 500-ton cooling tower is typically used in industrial or commercial applications where large amounts of heat need to be removed from water. Some common applications of a 500-ton cooling tower include: Power plants: A 500-ton cooling tower can be used to remove heat from the water used to cool steam in power plants. This helps to maintain the efficiency of the plant by ensuring that the steam is cooled sufficiently before it is reused.
