DYQ4 series liquid resistor starter (for short starter as follow) is a new starter prepared for improving the starting property of high voltage squirrel-cage alternating current asynchronously motor. It can induce the impact which is brought to motor starting current on power system, and improve the start smoothness with equipment by voltage-reduced starting by way of liquid resistance. It can protect the motor avoid harm by over-load, phase failure, short circuit etc.It is the prefect starting production instead of auto-induction voltage-reduced starter. 1.2. Model explanation 2. Working principles: The device is composed of resistor, high-voltage soft start controller, isolating cabinet, changeover cabinet and star point controller. We supply in full sets. The device can start motor and play a protected action on motor start process, when connect it in motor start circuit. This resistor is composed of three phase balancing resistor which have negative temperature characteristic, when the current is past through resistor, the temperature of resistor gradually increase and its resistance gradually decrease, then the terminal voltage of motor gradually raise and the start torque gradually increase, so the motor can start smoothly and the start current can be decreased. 3. Transit and hoisting 8.1. According the customers demand, the pack can use simple packing, common packing and exported packing 8.2. Lie down the resistor during transit is forbidden, because it can damage the driving medium and insulated box (the hoisting method please according to picture 1). 8.3. The collision must be avoided when hoisting the single cabinet, and the hoisting must according the storage and transportation mark 8.4. Check the condition of packing before opening, if it was damaged seriously, please negotiate with traffic company or contact with us. 8.5. the steel wire should be used to hook in the diagonal rings when lifting. picture 2 8.6. The gradient must exceed 70o during hoisting. 9. Installation condition 9.1. The liquid resistor should be installed on the cement platform in which the water can easily drain 9.2. A horizontal ground is needed for installing, and the cabinet must perpendicular to it. 9.3. The liquid resistor should be installed right above the cable channel, and steel channel base must be matched with the resistor. 9.4. 3,2.5+1,1.5mm2 cable is used for control power supply, and connect it from A,B,C,N of terminal board X1 to starter, then according to the drawing, connect the liquid starter and control cabinet, and the interlock control wires between DCS systems or other central control systems 9.5 connect the green and yellow grounding lines to ground terminal. 10. Use and maintenance: 10.1. Check the condition of resistor before each start 10.2. Test the insulation resistance between ground regularly, the test result must less than 500M¥Ø using tramegger with the range of 1000V 10.3. Add water for the resistor regularly. 11.
