Well logging, also known as borehole logging is the practice of making a detailed record(a well log) of the geological formations penetrted by borehol. The well logging is based on visual inspection of samples collected to the surface(geological logs) during drilling the borehole and on physical measurements made by instrument(geophysical logs). Well logging is done when drilling boreholes for groundwater is completed first stageupto required depth for geological studies Bhoojalshree specializes in geophysical well logging and has the tools for carrying out electrical logging operations since its inception in 2001, and the rich experience in well logging comes through its Director Mr. Ratilal Sudani, the personanel with the company have carried out sme well loggings in their individual capacity and requirement of the area, which has produced the favourable results. By borehole logging it is possible to identify strata as well as quality of groundwater at different depth. This type of finding helps to decide lenth of the straner pipes, sealing the aquifers having undesirable quality water etc. Well Logging is adpted in the alluvial strata, where the drilling and control is possible to get desirable quality water. To get the services for well logging the client are expected to inform the cofirmed date in well advance to avoide delay in getting services. Before starting Borehole Logging, the boring rods with bit should be taken outside of the borewhole and the water inside the bore should have minimum content of clay. The readings are starting from the water level. At each and every meter of depth four nos. of readings are observed and noted. After finishing of the survey, the noted reading are entered in computer and drawn different graphs for analysis of strata and water quality. The findings and the samples of strata taken during borehole drilling are compared and final predictions are declared. The depth of stranners and plain casing are decided on the base of the final prediction.
