Sodium sulfite, an inorganic substance with chemical formula Na2SO3, is a sulfite, which is soluble in water and insoluble in ethanol. Insoluble in liquid chlorine and ammonia. It is mainly used as artificial fiber stabilizer, fabric bleaching agent, photographic developer, dye bleaching deoxidizer, perfume and dye reducing agent, papermaking lignin removing agent, etc.
