Vermicomposting is a mesophilic process utilizing micro-organisms & certain species of earthworms which are used to enhance the process of organic waste conversion & produce a better end-product. The worms feed on organic waste materials & pass it through their digestive system. The secretions in the worms digestive tract help break down organic matter giving out a granular form of casting known as vermicompost. These castings contain more nutrients that are immediately available to plants
