We found a suitable batch of richly patterned Malachite in large enough pieces to create a limited number of gemstone boxes. Malachite is a copper mineral often found in large nodules. It was popular in the 1930's and became a part of Art Deco style. As ever each is lined with sheets of black Onyx to add strength and durability. Each one is unique. A dramatic looking object that instantly attracts the eye. 11cm x 8cm x 4cm high (3 inches x 4 inches).
