Canola and Sunflower Sludge Oil for Soap and Detergent making
The extraction of Crude Sunflower Oil and Canola Oil requires steam for sterilization and water for dilution (physical refining).
As a consequence, substantial amount of water will be discharged in the form of Oil Mill Effluent Canola Sludge Oil is the floating residual oil that is separated during the initial stage of POME discharge to the pond. The small amount of oil that fails to be extracted and leach out from various stages of the milling process will end up in the open ponds as sludge oil.

If refined, the Canola Oil can be applied directly as boiler fuel, feed stock for bio diesel production. It also serves as an important ingredient in making calcium soaps for animal feed formulations.
The typical FFA content in Canola Sludge Oil can be ranging from 40 to 80% (by weight) and it is generally Light brown in color.
