We have been exporting onions for years from Turkey with our group company which is located in Mersin. There is two types of Turkish onion:"Corum" red onion and "Balik red onion. Turkish onions have really competitive price and above average quality. It also has quite good advantage for ocean freight because it can last for a long time. Corum Red Onion Specification: -The shape is round and slightly pliable -Skin color is pale purple and inside is white. -Dry matter percentage is high. -It is resistant to fungal diseases due to strong root structure. -Due to its strong shell, storage life is long and it is suitable for import-exports. -It is one of the most durable onion types of Turkey -Shelf life is 8-9 months. Harvesting Period:August-September Harvesting Area:Middle of Turkey Balik Red Onion Specification: -Shape is long round. -Skin color is dark purple and inside is pink. -Dry matter percentage is above avarage. -Shelf life is 5-7 months.
