History: Mazafati date production primarily occurs in Bam city, Kerman province. This is the place most associated with the production of high quality Mazafati dates. The Bam region has around 28,000 hectares of land dedicated to the harvesting Mazafati dates, 5,000 hectares of which is reserved for young palm trees.
