Ferric Chloride 38-42% Solution is a light brown aqueous solution with a slight hydrochloric acid odor. It is highly corrosive to most metals and noncombustible. It is primarily used in water and waste water treatment as a flocculant, but it's also used as a chemical intermediate in metal treating, as an etching agent in printed circuit boards and electronics and odor control.
