Its name comes from an ancient language where "Camu" means "water", which with the repetition it means lots of water, signalling its growth in flooded areas. Thanks to its growing location, Camu Camu has access to a lot of nutrients, which is how it obtains the incredibly high Vitamin C Content and ORAC value.
