Zinc Carbonate(CAS:3486-35-9)
Basic zinc carbonate(Transparent Zinc Oxide Powder), is a kind of inorganic carbonate, mainly as a raw materials of ceramic and lithopone manufacturing. Its specially used in transparent rubber products because of its refractive index similar to rubber. Bellow are the advantages in application in rubber 1. It is able to increase the thermal conductivity glue, improve the thermal conductivity and the curing rate, especially suitable for hot air vulcanization process. 2. It can improve the stability of the shape of semi-finished products in the curing process, which is suitable for non-model products (such as the based products which is the use of continuous vulcanization technology).
Zinc Carbonate is Inorganic compound. It is a white amorphous, odourless powder. Zinc Carbonate is not soluble in water. It is soluble in dilute Hydrochloric Acid & Acetic Acid. Zinc is a naturally found in the earths crust and is an inherent part of our environment. Zinc is present not only in rock and soil, but also in air, water and the biosphere. Plants, animals and humans contain zinc in their bodies. The average natural level of zinc in the earths crust is 70 mg/kg (dry weight), ranging between 10 and 300 mg/kg (Malle 1992). In some areas, zinc has been concentrated to much higher levels by natural geological and geochemical processes (5-15% or 50,000-150,000 mg/kg). Such concentrations, found at the earths surface and underground, are being exploited as ore bodies Centuries ago zinc was discovered in the metallic form, its ores were used for making brass and zinc compounds and also for healing wounds and sore eyes. It is believed that the Romans first made brass in the time of Augustus (20 B.C. 14 A.D.). In the 13th century Marco Polo described the manufacture of zinc oxide in Persia. By 1374, zinc was recognized in India as a new metal the 8th metal known to man at that time. At Zawar in India, both zinc metal and zinc oxide were produced from the 12th to the 16th century. Zinc metal was used to make brass, and zinc oxide served medical purposes. Zinc Carbonate is used in pigments, ceramics and the manufacture of crepe and sponge, being particularly suitable when low pigmentation is desired. If has other uses in the paint industry and as an activator in the rubber industry.

Zinc carbonate Zinc carbonate is a white crystalline powder that occurs naturally as granular or earthy masses. It is referred to as smithsonite or calamine or zinc spar. In pure form, it is colourless and transparent but more frequently coloured by the presence of iron, manganese, copper, etc.

Best quality of Zinc Carbonate for industrial and commertil use
We offer a wide plethora of Zinc in many forms including LME registered and non registered Special High Grade Ingots and Jumbos, cathodes, dust, foil, granules, powder, pieces, anodize activated powder, shot, and a mossy form. Zinc is a bluish-white, lustrous metal. It is brittle at ambient temperatures but is malleable at 100 to 150°C. It is a reasonable conductor of electricity, and burns in air at high red heat with evolution of white clouds of the oxide. Plating thin layers of zinc on to iron or steel is known as galvanizing and helps to protect the iron from corrosion.
Zinc ore is most commonly found as zinc carbonate (ZnCO3), known as calamine or smithsonite. It generally occurs as rounded, crystalline crusts or granular, honeycombed masses that have a vitreous or pearly luster and are typically dirty brown or grey in colour. Nigeria is richly blessed with large deposits of Zinc ore in Ebonyi and Benue state. We can export top quality of this product in 1000-1500MT every month.
Zinc ore is most commonly found as zinc carbonate (ZnCO3), known as calamine or smithsonite. It generally occurs as rounded, crystalline crusts or granular, honeycombed masses that have a vitreous or pearly luster and are typically dirty brown or grey in colour. Zinc is a chemical element with the symbol Zn and atomic number 30. Zinc is a slightly brittle metal at room temperature and has a shiny-greyish appearance when oxidation is removed. It is the first element in group 12 (IIB) of the periodic table. In some respects, zinc is chemically similar to magnesium: both elements exhibit only one normal oxidation state (+2), and the Zn2+ and Mg2+ ions are of similar size. Zinc is the 24th most abundant element in Earth's crust and has five stable isotopes. The most common zinc ore is sphalerite (zinc blende), a zinc sulfide mineral. The largest workable lodes are in Australia, Asia, and the United States. Zinc is refined by froth flotation of the ore, roasting, and final extraction using electricity (electrowinning). Zinc ore occurs in two types of deposit: as primary zinc ore in thin veins known as rakes, or a secondary deposit formed by weathering of the primary mineral veins. Zinc ore is most commonly found as zinc carbonate (ZnCO3), known as calamine or smithsonite. It generally occurs as rounded, crystalline crusts or granular, honeycombed masses that have a vitreous or pearly luster and are typically dirty brown or grey in colour. Locally it was known as â??dry boneâ?? ore, having a cellular to spongy appearance reminiscent of dry bone. Calamine is actually a secondary mineral, found principally in the oxidized zone of the zinc-bearing ore deposits. It is derived from the alteration of the primary zinc sulphide (ZnS) mineral sphalerite. This is generally a dark grey or black, highly lustrous mineral, but can vary in appearance. Both occur on Mendip. Its chief use was to make brass by mixing with copper.
