Aboveground LPG Tank - 42,900 liters (2 units) ASME Standards, UL Listed 142, 2085.
1. Gas tank to be UL listed complete with Double skin configuration. Tank Capacity 42,900 Litres.
2. The Gas tank is located external to the building and Aboveground . The pipe work runs through Aboveground and enters the building at ground floor and distributes to the point of use with pipe in pipe protection. The complete installation shall be in compliance with NFPA.
3. Containers shall be designed, fabricated, tested and marked using criteria which incorporate an investigation to determine that it is safe and suitable for the proposed service, is recommended for that service by the manufacturer and is acceptable to the authority having jurisdiction.
4. Containers shall be designed, fabricated, tested and marked (or stamped) in accordance with the Regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), the â??Rules of the Construction of Unfired Pressure Vesselsâ??, Section VIII, Division 1, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, or the API-ASME Code for Unfired Pressure Vessels for Petroleum Liquids applicable at the date of manufacture or BS 5500.
5. Containers showing serious denting, bulging, gouging, or excessive corrosion shall be removed from service. Repair or alteration of containers shall comply with the Regulations, Rules or Codes under which the container was fabricated. Welding is permitted only on saddle plates,legs or brackets attached to the container by the container manufacturer.
6. The minimum design, or service, pressure of DOT specification containers shall be in Accordance with the appropriate DOT regulations
7. Containers shall be designed to be self-supporting without the use of guy wires and shall satisfy proper design criteria taking into account wind, seismic (earthquake) forces, and Hydrostatic test loads.
8. Tanks should be supplied with means of security, protection and control in accordance with standards specified by Saudi Civil Defence/NFPA-58 and should comply with all standards and special requirements for public safety adopted by Saudi local requirements.
